I ate guinea pig when I worked in Peru. Also had iquana in Belize(bamboo chicken), tepescuintle in Guatemala(think giant swamp rat). GP is dry, iquana tastes like chicken tepe is like a greasy veal. Guinea pig makes sense since the Indians feed them on grass and weeds they gather by the road. So its free protein. Rat... If you raised it cleanly..OK. But just not much meat. Grasshoppers fried with chili and lime in Oaxaca-a vegetarian protein. Lobster is a scavenger of rotten fish.

@goodtimebob Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to try some of those! Personally I've never been a huge fan of Lobster myself, preferring another bottom feeding scavenger, the crab :D
