Watching at first I thought, wow, pretty free movement - but then i noticed the wing of his arms - look at the sequence around minutes 7:40 - he is using his arms to get up (holding/swinging them forward around the awkward moment where the pelvis leaves the chair - similar to that watch how he holds his arms "long" when rotated backwards -
It should be noted that the Student being worked with is Colin Egan. Colin was certified by Mr. Macdonald to teach the Alexander Technique at the time this video was made. His ease of use and movement is due to his long experience with the work. It should be noted that some of these procedures would not be used on a new student.
