The 2006 Detroit Tigers were making a run to World Series but its All-Star, Dmitri Young, was missing. He was released from the team under a dark cloud of domestic violence charges, alcoholism & being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
With his life in order now, Young returned to Detroit in 2010 to help coach the Oakland County Cruisers, a independent baseball team & is teaching baseball to a new generation of players that hope to make the majors like he did.
