I would LOVE to see the real Osmonds act in a movie! ;}

I'm 27, and my mom used to talk all the time when I was a teenager about how much she used to listen to the Osmonds all the time. I think she's still in love with Donny! LOL

it must have felt odd fake recording One Bad Apple. i think they just lipsynced everything

i dont think they realized that to protect their voices they lip synced against the recording.

Watch the movie Side by Side and you will see the Osmond Brothers the early years.

@luvrof70s Donny did- he was in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat movie and in the Disney film "Road Trip"

@pika23 I'm not sure why their childhood years are not covered, but it seems to concentrate on the 'mania' years. As for not talking about Tom and Virl, there are many interviews and appearances from Tom and Virl. They even appeared on the Andy Williams show and are featured in many interviews and the Donny and Marie Christmas specials. They pop up everywhere. Check my vid of the brothers 50th reunioins and some of the documentaries I have posted. They are in there.

@xshortybabyx3 They got famous pretty quickly, even as little children. I mean from what I hear...they performed at Disney Land and Andy Williams heard them, put em on TV and that was it!
True, maybe they could have talked about how the two oldest sons and how they were deaf and stuff, but this is something that maybe the family didn't want to talk about.
The Jacksons had more of a story getting where they were. And how they had a struggle to get famous.

I love the movie but find it annoying that they have them singing songs from later in their career as if those songs got them their start. One Bad Apple and Yo Yo are the exceptions.

Why have they got a middle aged Merrill trying to sound like his younger self on love me for a reason? the voice doesn't fit.
the way they integrate music from the Plan, their last album is stupid because in the beginning that wasn't even a thought.

@KSitz77 The Plan was not their last album, even as a 5 brother group. The music used in this film is not necessarily in the correct time line which I think any Osmond fan will realise. The album The Plan was something they worked on for quite a long time because their original written matrerial was lost in a fire and they had to start over. It was released in 1973 but the concept of it began way before that.
