The Nikon 1 system cameras are loaded with a number of advanced features that put the fun back into home movie making. Slow motion video recording is possible at frame rates of 400fps and 1200fps and shot for five seconds. This not may sound like very long but 400fps you get 1 min 6 secs of footage at 640x240px. At 1200fps you get 3 mins 20 secs of footage at 320x120px. Here are two examples of movies shot at 400fps. To read our full review of the Nikon V1 & J1 cameras take a look a page 96 in the January issue of Practical Photography, on sale in the UK 30th November 2011.
I just purchased the new Nikon J1, and have been wanting to try this feature... Any help?

i agree specially if you're into videos and not still photos. I mean, sure it plays really smooth slomo vids but with this kind of quality? it will be only fun for quite some time and it will lose its "stunningness" eventually. Id rather buy 550d and use AE twixtor to produce a "very stunning" vid.
