Song #1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LJmyG0vd2k

My first original pony music. Thumbs up for faceless gijinka princesses.

Created as the counterpart to the wholesome and upbeat Flutterwonder vocal. I wanna do something similar to my non-pony covers, simple but with perfect arrangements. And here you go.

And now that it's brought up in the comments, the other reason why I made this song is that the fandom needs more songs celebrating Celestia and Luna's harmony. I personally think the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic thing is epic and dramatic in concept, but again, I feel like there should be something to balance it out. And that's how Equestria is made.

So let's rejoice and sing with me, every pony! To the Princesses of Equestria!

I really should do this on St. Patrick's instead of Thanksgiving... orz

LYRICS:

O, princess of sun, fair as bright day
For your mane is the sky of the dawn
Bring us day, for us to gallop and play
Sing with me to her glory of the sun

O, princess of moon, warm and charming
For your mane is the stars in the sky
Bring us night, for us to chant lullabies
Sing with me to her beauty of the night

Sing to princesses with our hearts

O, neigh this sweet tune in harmony
Stomp your hooves, follow the melody
For the princesses keep world in balance
Let's rejoice in this merry song and dance

Sing to princesses with our hearts

  • I'm so into Irish musics and.. what amazed me more is that you're from the same country as mine.. I really love your chanting at the music gaps.. keep up your good job ><b

  • @xyzddaeneo Singapore or Indonesia? I'm originally from Indonesia and that country DEFINITELY needs more bronies.

  • So you're from Singapore? The way you use your accent reminds me of the lead singer from the Cranberries; strategic working with it instead of trying to suppress it. It's wonderful, I think, and your voice is absolutely adorable.

Have you heard of a band called Sarek? They're Swedish, but this song with the celtic sound reminds me of their style. Have you considered using a nyckelharpa instrument in your song? I think it'd sound great.

Overall, thumbs up (and listen over and over and over...)

  • @Ulkhani For Nyckellharpa, I consider it more appropriate for Nordic inspired music. Yes, Nordic and Celtic music are rather similar, but I made this referencing specifically to Celtic music. I do have something referenced to Nordic music and it does use Nyckellharpa sets.

  • I listen to this in awe, then I think, ponies, this music is being made for ponies, of all things. Amazing.

  • Why am I crying?

  • @47sMiuMiu Which Celts? The Insular Celts, Lusitanian Celts, or the Gauls?

  • This song deserves more attention than just 11,000 views!

  • @47sMiuMiu I can't wait! I am -so- watching you now. :D

  • @Ulkhani The song is a non-pony personal project so I'm kinda saving it for later on :)

  • @47sMiuMiu That's great, and yeah, it just stuck out to me. The strategic use of accent is a great touch and I really admire artists who aren't afraid to flaunt it, so to speak. As for the nordic inspired song, wow! Is it up and coming, or is it already out? I would love to hear it! :D

  • @Ulkhani I live in Singapore currently, but not a local. Yes, I adore Dolores O'Riordan's vocal since I was a kid and I guess it does give influence which, if it wasn't point out, I might not be aware of it myself. I might check out that band you recommend.

  • @Ulkhani Not in this song I mean, but in general. A nyckelharpa could add something to your celtic-style songs I think. Just a thought.
