This is a demo of my Rock Block 1 watt vacuum tube guitar amp by Surprise Sound Lab. I'm playing a Gibson ES335 and an Avatar 1X12 open-back cab with a Hellatone 30. No effects were used.

Awesome demo! 99% of demos are just blues wanking or shredding. You'd think that's all there was to do on guitar...

Thank you for actually PLAYING the 335. I've been split between that and the es 175 and this demo sold it. Every other one out there people are playing very gentle and or playing thanks for letting those strings have it!

Is that the 8 or 16 ohm Hellatone, John? Thanks very much for posting this.

It's 8 ohms. That's the best match with the Rock Block because you have more versatility. You can use a 12AU7 or ECC99 for the output tube. An RCA 12AU7 cleartop is great.

Awesome playing!!! Thanks for the demo. I think this is exactly what I need. Good tone at low volumes for practicing in my room. What would you suggest along with this amp to get a classic Cream/ 60's British blues tone? I have a SG standard and a American strat if that makes any difference. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The SG is a good place to start, I think Clapton also used a Gibson 335 and maybe even a Les paul during that time. This amp can get that cranked up Cream, Zep, Hendrix, Marshall sound pretty good for a 1 watt amp, good speakers and cabinets make a differance also, thanks.
