Yes this works I often use this but never saw it on youtube. I do it from when the challenger goes for a scarfhold but not have it yet. As soon he put his arm around me I do the move but i grab his arm while turning out on my back to my knees to get out. (not turning to my back like you in this video) . Than I have an armlock behind his back (flatten him out) or I climb on his back and choke him out from his back. Dude sorry for my english. Maybe you dont know what Im talking about.

An omaplata is a Kimura with the legs, he isnt using his legs.

that's freaking awesome!!! can you do this technique even if he doesn't roll you over from top position? like if he just goes for an arm -triangle when he's already established side control?
