Yeah because those same forces were so good at stoping the prohibition of Alcohol and by banning all guns only law breakers i.e. criminals and the police will have guns. So bassically unless the police are right at your door to protect you any criminal can go in. I agree that there needs to be limits, History Checks and Restrictions but all that is to prevent criminals from getting guns, NOT law abidding citizens (who are the only ones who follow gun laws).

Let's ban all the guns, and have military+police check points all over the country. Then, we can truely live in a SAFE AND SECURE society.

A lot's happened since then. I still have my firearms and I won't give them up. In my opinion the Bill of Rights, especially the 2nd Amendment, is one of the few things still keeping this country at the roots of what it is. The times may change, but the Bill of Rights, our heritage, the God-given right to life (and the preservation of it), and the spirit of the people are what keeps America what it is.

Washington, D.C., a handgun ban went into effect during 1977, and after 29 years of the ban D.C.'s murder rates have ranked second among the 50 largest cities for 15 years.

President Obama's gun control policies are ineffective. In almost every case where handgun bans have been implemented, murder rates have risen. With overwhelming evidence the question must now be asked, why ignore the facts any longer?

Why do they need a complete outlawing of guns?
