This is easily the most congested, people unfriendly and dangerous road in Subang Jaya. Persiaran Kewajipan at the Kesas Subang Interchange is the convergent point for traffic from the Kesas Expressway, Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong, New Pantai Expressway and Kelana Subang Link.
8 days before the General Election of 2008 the then Assemblyman for Subang Jaya, YB Lee Hwa Beng announced that AZRB the road contractor for the Kelana Subang Link, will put up a pedestrian bridge near the Interchange to facilitate people, especially the devotees of the Buddhist and Hindu temples crossing the 10 lane road.
One and a half year down the road, the promise still remains unfulfilled.
Last week, the newly elected Assemblyman, YB Hannah Yeoh led a peaceful protest and press conference to demand that Public Works Department which is overseeing the construction of the bridge fulfill their promise to the people of Subang Jaya.
In the meantime, devotees crossing the road continue to flirt with death each time they cross the suicide road.
Really dangerous stretch. Especially if you're headed towards USJ from Sunway. People just shoot out from the road that leads to Monash University without looking at traffic on that stretch. And at that stretch, most would be doing 90kmh. I had a close call there once, would have resulted in a pile up. All thanks to one hero coming out from that Monash road -_-
