It's the B-side to their Seven Nation Army single, released in 2003.
Making this the backing track on what they probably knew was going to be the biggest hit on Elephant was probably a conscious attempt on White's part to jumpstart Benson's then-puttering career.
It worked for me. After hearing this version, I tracked down the original and thought Benson's was better.
