  • This is the very first record I ever owned! Thanks for posting this!

  • Very cool!

It's amazing that many people remember the first record they ever received or purchased - in many cases remembering all the details - such as the store, bringing it home for the first time, etc.

Unfortunately today's youth will never experience that simple pleasure in life and carry it as a memory forever. Very few, if any I bet can name the very first MP3 they downloaded - legally or illegally!

  • 너무나 익숙한 멜로디

  • Oh yeah....love that Dixieland jazz.

  • @WABCRADIO77 My first record was purchased in Heidelberg, Germany in 1961 by a then unknown group called the Beatles. It was MY BONNIE and I still have it. It cost 40 Pfennigs, about 35 cents, and the cool thing is that Hochsteins Musik, where I bought it, is still there and is now ownedby the granddaughter of them original owner.

  • A Top 5 hit for The Village Stompers in November 1963. It would hit #1 on what is now the Adult Contemporary charts. It also charted on the Rhythm & Blues charts, before that chart was discontinued by Billboard for over a year.

  • The Vilage people--Thanks--Great tune-the banjo-really rocks out--ANd hey that guy is the Best ive ever heard-how he rocks out on the horns-

  • @dagofromchicago They're more Dixieland.
