Here we have a look at the HST power cars that were on display during the Neville Hill open day. 43061 is the power car that appears to have had its cab stripped of paint, apparently due to 'serious delamination', sat next to 43089's recently removed Valenta engine. Other power cars on display include: 43064, 43082, 43049, 43058, 43054, 43048 and 43046. At the beginning on the journey down, we also see 43068 and 43123 leaving York for Sunderland.

  • Used to work at neville hill in the bfs( level 5) I see its not changed at all happy days.

  • so at neville hill you can go there and there will be loads of HST's(on open day)

  • Completely forgot about that fact! Sorry about that, had a dumb moment.

  • Some were used in unbranded Virgin livery as part of Project Rio in 2004, most buffered power cars then went into storage with the exception of 43080 which temporarily went to GNER.

  • Eerm when did MML use any buffered power car :s

  • And both were used by Midland Mainline.

  • so did 43123

  • 43068 used to be in virgin livery

  • i see me! great vid

  • Excellent Stephen, great screaming departure from York, and the Leeds open day was certainly colourful and very interesting....5* Bob
