What about the Drum stick? The Thighs? The back? The Neck.
Alot of work to get 2 breasts and not use the rest of the bird. The thighs are my favorites.

I can't believe most of the videos show just cutting out the breast and wasting the rest!!! That is crazy.

im fresh out of the class so could you give me a tip please

@ToroToker - It's the same with every bird. Just treat it like a wild duck or other fowl. My brother in law gets a few every year. Pluck it, gut it, and cook it. ;)
Lots of videos out there for dressing ducks and chickens and such. I know most say that the only good part is the breasts, but I beg to differ. I like the thighs and legs on wild turkeys. And even the skin. Granted it's not like store bought birds, but it has a nice flavor to me. Course, I'm in the minority on this. :)

@a6a6 Wow I'm way late on this topic... Personally I like the thighs and drums on wild turkey. We have 2 a year usually.

@blackbeard68 Almost everyone I talk to says to skin the bird and just take the breasts. I've been looking for a video that shows to utilize the entire bird....do you know of any??? And do you have any tips on how to cook the less used cuts properly, I'm going spring turkey hunting for the first time is 2 weeks and I definitely want to use the entire bird I just don't know the "proper" ways....thanks

way to waste meat... i hear a lot of people say its not worth the effort to skin it for such a small portion when it comes to the legs and thighs. are you kidding me?? then why hunt? thats wasting,. and that turkey died for nothing.. but yet youll spend 5 in gas, and 12 dollars to run to the local bar and get a dozen of small ass wing dings. bullshit

use the rest of that turkey....turkey

@ blackbeard..
the breast are the only good parts of wild turkey..
i like the thigh and brumstick on a nice bell and evans or butterball but not wild turkey, these turkey arent fed 3times a day like on a farm or ranch and grooomed for sale. wild turkey for the most part are smaller and leaner.. but those breast are def. tastier..
great job man.. hope you bag another this spring. enjoy them cutlets..
