History was made when Brent Albright secured the NWA™ Worlds Championship from Adam Pearce on the ROH event in NYC. This is the first time in the NWA's 6 decades in business that the famous "10 LBS. of Gold" changed hands in the Big Apple. Here are video images of the events on the night of Aug. 2, 3008. The National Wrestling Alliance® publicity thanks ROH for their support and friendship.

  • Pearce vs Albright was match of the night at ROH Death Before Dishonor VI.

  • It would be nice if the NWA would do more on Ring of Honor, with the World's Heavyweight and other World titles being shown on there. Not exclusively, of course (Hint: TNA). Perhaps even doing things like the old NWA vs. WWWF title matches with the NWA vs. ROH title matches.

The emotion that Pearce showed for this title change is sorely missing in anything done by WWE and TNA today.

  • brent is my cousin and ive watched his little brother, blake, wrestle all the way to his retirement in the MWA

  • If only he could get network exposure. This could be a new era in wrestling.

  • He has so much intensity in his promo

  • "So-called bigger products"

hehe, I LOVE IT! *thumbs up*

  • For the first time in history, the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship changed hands in New York City. Though his reign was brief, Brent was a good champion. I feel that this is the first step in getting the NWA back to where it was. Believe me, Vince needs some competition.

  • MAN what a promo 7:10

  • I still wonder why they switched to the red belt...
