  • I wouldn't call someone lazy if he chose to cook a meal on an electric range instead of going out and chopping wood and building a fire for a wood cook stove. I have a fully functioning woodshop with many wonderful power tools.I also have a full compliment of hand tools. I use both types of tools pretty much equally. I don't consider myself lazy if I choose a router rather than a rabbeting plane to make a rabbet.

  • @Buzzsawman Well said Buzzsawman! I take a lot of abuse from people on YouTube here, but I've become comfortable with ignoring them. If I'm going to put my work and methods out there for people to see, I have expect comments from the critics. Although it seems like some people have nothing better to do than hang out and nitpick.

  • I love my power tools too, but the same job could have been accomplished with a few hand tools (plane, hand saw, etc.) with less hazard to the makers fingers, if you don't have all of the tools and jigs this person has. A hollowed top would also have been a nicer design feature, and could have been done by coopering the lid (and using much thinner stock).

  • @mithrandir10001 I agreed with you 100%. I would not use this method to make boxes in the future. Experience teaches us these lessons, and if we pay attention to the lessons, we end up better woodworkers. I appreciate your feedback given in a respectful manner (as opposed to calling me a lazy woodworker).

  • exelente video lastima que no entendi mucho de loque dijo ojala ubiera un youtube en español

  • Gosh what a bunch of sanctimonious crap!! When someone uses a method of building something you wouldn't use, you in effect say, "you are doing that wrong." NO HE ISN"T. He is doing it DIFFERETLY. With every task that needs to be done, there is more than one way to do it. If he coopered the top with thinner stock, he coujldn't have included the picture. I agree that handtools are wonderful, but today we have electricity. Why not make use of it?

  • @42crg Porque no te calles?

  • Another Awsome Job !!!!!
