The singer is regretting (feeling ill) that he has greed for material things. He sees that he nature is not that of 'a taker', but of 'a giver'. He recognizes that giving love is an enlightened path in life, but he still has material desires plaguing him.
As for the video, I think you did a good job. The cuts go with the song and you incorporate the lyrics.

I absolutely love this song but this video is beat. It's just cut up portions of the Murder In The City video with a bunch of random shots cut in, it makes little to no sense. Just my opinion, don't attack me for it please. Thank you for posting
