{Taylors POV}
Has anyone told you how perfect you are? Joe said to me with a smile.
Of course but not yet today. I said back sarcastically.
Well then youre perfect. He said happily.
Well Id say your perfect too but you have frosting all over your face. I said while laughing as I stuck my finger in the cake and put the frosting on his nose.
Well then I guess youre not perfect either! He said while he threw some cake in my face.
Oh youre in for it! I yelled and with that we were both throwing cake at each other. With in half an hour the cake was all over the kitchen and Joe and I were laughing next to each other on the floor covered in cake. Then we stopped laughing and Joe got serious.
Taylor I need to tell you something about the role I got. He said in a way that made him appear frightened to tell me.
What is it? I asked worriedly.
I will have to kiss another girl. He said and it felt like the wind had been knocked out of me.
Its just acting Joe! Dont worry I wont be upset. I said and I was lying but he needed the job.
But the girl Im going to be kissing is my ex. He said shyly and now I thought I might have a heart attack.
Who AJ? I asked hopeful yet knowing I would be wrong.
No Taylor you know who. He said coldly.
Oh. Was all I could answer. I wanted to say more but I couldnt think of anything else. I was shocked and couldnt believe that I might lose the love of my life to the love of his life again. Just then my mom walked in with Adam and Ali at her sides.
MESS! Adam yelled letting go of my mothers hand and running into the kitchen to play in the cake.
Cake! Mummy more cake? Ali asked looking for more cake. I stood up with a smile and so did Joe. Adam slid into Joe knocking him back down and I picked up Ali into a big hug.
Mummy I messy now! She said frowning and she just looked so adorable.
Sometimes its okay to get messy and have fun! I said laughing as I put some frosting on her cheek. It was so much fun but I knew tonight Joe and I would be having a serious talk.


Later that night as I tucked Ali into her small little princess bed I smiled knowing soon enough she would be tucking in her own children, and I would remember doing this for her. I kissed her tiny little forehead, turned on her tiny little princess night light, and walked out of the large pink room filled with tiny pink toys. This has been my evening ritual ever since Ali and Adam got old enough for separate rooms. I read Adam a bedtime story while Joe reads Ali her story and then we say good night and I tuck Ali in and Joe tucks Adam in. Once their doors are shut Joe and I meet in the hallway and walk hand in hand to our own room. Tonight was different and I could tell that after he came into Adams room sooner then I planned he was rushing things. As I stepped out of Alis room Joe was not there waiting for me but our bedroom door was opened with the light on which meant he was inside.

Joe I began to say when I walked in and saw him sitting at the bottom of the bed with his shoulders slouching over and his arms on top of his legs with his face buried deep inside his hands. With the squeak I let out for his name he straightened up immediately and jumped to his feet.
Taylor I am sorry! I had no idea! I just really wanted to work and when the casting director sent her in I was in complete shock! If only you have enough faith in me to let me do this! If you dont think I can I wont take the job easy as that! He said with so much passion that it melted my heart. I knew most of what he was saying was to make him feel better and talk to himself rather then talking to me. I slowly walked over to him placing my hand on his shoulder as he turned and gazed into my eyes.
Joe I am not worried about anything happening! I trust you possibly more then you trust yourself but someone needs to have faith in you. If you dont have faith in yourself then I will be there for you to always have the faith you are missing. Joe please just take the job you will do great. I assured him as I took a step to move from his side to directly in front of him as I wrapped my arms around his waist and smiled at him.
Thank you Taylor I needed to hear that. He said smiling back at me as he wrapped his arms around my neck. After a moment of smiling directly at one another we slowly leaned into a sweet and romantic kiss.
Joseph you have work in a few weeks, you better get to bed and get some beauty sleep you need it. I said smiling at him once again.
Yes mother. He said as he walked away from our embrace and got into our bed.
Speaking of mothers I need to call mine. I will go downstairs so you can get your beauty sleep. I said with a wink as I grabbed my cell phone and headed downstairs into my living room.
