Elvis Costello - Green Shirt Cover

This is an early EC song from his third UK album Armed Forces. I recently came across EC's original acoustic guitar and vocal demo version of the song and it inspired me to cover that version.....ish

@shnabors Thanks, this is quite an obscure song to cover I guess but I would listen to this over and over again when I first got the album in 79. It's so hypnotic! (not so hypnotic without the drums but hey)

Thanks, it's always difficult when the version you are used to hearing is not the one on youtube. You should try and search out Elvis Costello doing this version it's great!

:-) HaHa, I know what you mean it is funny how such a simple thing as 4 snare hits can stick in your brain and become the most important part of the song!! I used to listen to this song over and over as a teenager and would always hit in time to the snare beats.
