What a divine music! His equal, let alone his superior, in music will probably never appear in the world. As a devout Muslim, he prayed five times a day, but still, he was never touched by sectarain fanaticism and narrowness and gladly performed in Hindu temples. Such great human beings are extremely rare. God bless his soul!

The Best Shehnai player of all times. Pure Bliss... Somehow I always felt that as the years passed by , Ustaad Bismillah Khan Saheb, never grew older, infact he grew up to be more Cuter and Divine...

Bow to his Majesty - the late Ustad saab !!

Divinely inspired, I have no doubt about it. Who else can play Shehnai with such meticulous control of all the delicate nuances of a raga without losing his breath ? The sound seems to be coming from across the Ganga in his home city, Benaras, a place older than history and myth combined as Mark Twain reportedly said. Thanks for this glorious post, Vahanvatyji.
