  • It was the 90s. These things happen.

I watch my DVD of this game fairly often, especially the second half. What an incredible night!

  • that was back in 92 when miami was at the top of their game and always contending for the national title, and was tuff to beat. but WVU beat them at the hight of their dynasty when miami was a powerhouse. and WVU got em buddy. if WVU would beat them today everybody would say no big deal, miami has been down for years. but WVU beat them twice during their glory days, and almost beat them several other times. go eers" WVU#1

  • no doubt, they never put WVU games on there, I just think that the rest of the nation doesnt want to believe that a bunch of "hillbillies" can whoop their asses! Well they better get used to it, because this is the golden age of Mountaineer Football!

  • I was at that game. Didn't have a voice at work all the next week.

  • twas cold as a witches titty in a brass bra that night.

  • that was one hell of a weekend. The goal posts down high street, the loop fence torn down, the fires..

  • Greatest game I have seen in person.

  • finally!!! nobody i talk to has ever heard of this guy! im a UM fan and remember this, he ran the fuck all over us that nite!!!!!!!!!! what ever hapnd to him?!

  • Removing the availability of seats takes away so much noise. If the standing room seats were still available for fans, Milan Puskar Stadium would be even tougher for opposing teams to win at.

  • I'm still kicking myself 16 years later that I missed this game. I had the money for the ticket and should've bought one when they were still available but for some reason I didn't. I sat (actually I didn't sit, I stood) at home and watched it and I remember the feeling of pure joy when Walker scored, the defense held strong, and when Kelchner hit Jay Kearney deep and Vanterpool ran that reverse to seal the game, it was sheer bedlam throughout West Virginia. And, yes, I did tape this game.

  • first game ever as a mountaineer, just 8 years old ... havent missed a home game since ... GO EERS

  • It was a great sight to see. Goal posts torn down, kids putting their furniture out in the street and burning it....Only in Morgantown!!

  • I was at this game with a buddy of mine and his sister who was a senior at WVU at the time. We managed to get a couple of the standing room only tickets in the endzone, and Walker scored that game winner right in front of us. Even though I am a PSU fan, WVU has always been my second favorite team, and this win was even sweeter beating the trash talking Miami Hurricanes when Miami was a perennial title contender. We all ran across the field after that win. Great party night in Morgantown.
