i use sony vegas pro 9, the newest version, it might be another way to do this...

Hey, if you know ahead of time how fast you want the pics to last, all you have to do is go to Options>Preferences>Editing>New Still Image length. From there just type in your desired length and walla! I'm sure you can still edit certain ones longer if desired. Awesome video btw.
