@EoceneRoxton Me? a zealot? xD wow, really?

@Chirostenotes Possible, yes. Seeing as sea fish evolve to recolonise freshwater in the absence of any indigenous freshwater fish, eg New zealand.

@Tazy50 Theistic Evolution, highfive!

@EoceneRoxton True, but there is one type of squid, Lolliguncula brevis, that can tolerate low salinity and often inhabits river mouths.
It is possible that squids (or octopi or cuttlefish) could evolve to tolerate freshwater environments over time, and even if they didn't, a potential land cephalopod would still be able to colonise coastal habitats.

@Tyler31246 I was raised a Catholic, Catholics accept evolution. But I suppose you zealots believe we're going to hell just like everyone else...

@Chirostenotes A landsquid would need to drink saltwater, because fresh water is poisonous to squid, who have salinity levels that are the same as the sea.

@juanarruti ?

@ndrthrdr1 True, true. I suppose that didn't occur to me.

@NOOP1999 I think that evolution is an ongoing process, and we're evolving all the time - but so slowly that we don't even notice.

@SnokeZ Humans probably will evolve again, but most definitely not by the year 4000. I would probably have to say something around 7,000,000 years from now. But that's just an educated guess.

In the year : 4000 we will evoluate ? :D I mean .. I HOPE WE WONT BE ANIMATED . For any documentary you know :D Like we did with Homo Sapiens , Erectus , Habilis and the rest :D

@SnokeZ It'll be a lot longer than that before the Sapient LandSquids find our fossils, and say: "DAMN NATURE, YOU SCARY!".
