Went to the Grassy Waters Preserve north-west of West Palm Beach today to take a look. I used to go fishing there with my dad back in the 1960's when there was nothing there but a boat ramp and there were no developments any where close by. It was known by the locals as the water catchment area back then.
Now its a different story as the growth of the city has moved right up to the edge of the preserve and beyond, you can hear the cars in the video on the road nearby. It also lies under one of Palm Beach Internationals flight paths. It is not a quiet place if you want solitude. But it is still beautiful to look at.
There are more trails around the preserve that I look forward to getting to in the near future and will have a vido of those also.
