Brazilian also hate the brazilian legal system. Decisions take too long. People have the ability to appeal over and over... The boy probably does not even remember of his father. This happened because his mother kidnapped him. I understand that the boy may say he wants to stay with his family in Brazil, because this is the only family he can remember (and they probably are kind of brain washing him). But his biological father loves him. He must have the right to be with his son.

Sean Goldman doesn't have the sophistication to make such a decision and to see further down the line to do and to do what is right. I know it's hard for him to leave his friends and fake family but it happens all the time and children can be very resilient and can bounce back from just about anything.
