Part 1 of a 20 minute lecture which explains the root causes of 9/11. Geared for a NY state United States History course, this lecture could be useful to any student seeking to study for a US History and Government class.

  • We had several planes hi-jacked in the mid-60's. By the time I took my first commercial airline flight in 1972, screenings were in place in nearly all public airports. My briefcase, once appeared to contain a small automatic machine gun by the X-ray machine. I suppose we may have had a few hi-jacked planes post 1970, before the 9/11 attack. But multiple hi-jackings in one day? The targets might not have been known, but... I can't help but to connect the dots.

Agreed but not part of Al Queda or involved with 9/11. Unless new evidence emerges that's the military/political and historical consensus.

By the way there are a good twenty dictators on planet Earth, I hope you are ready for twenty Iraqi styles wars for the next fifty years

And Saadam was also corrupt, greedy, a sadist and likely mentally unstable. While disturbing, none of these were reasons given to us by the Bush administration for war.

  • It would be nice if teachers today, not saying none do, took the pride in their job as you do and put forth the extra effort to educating our youth...i especially like the way you stray off the curriculum to incorporate why-when things occur rather than just preaching talking points...your students are lucky to have a teach that breaks the mold and tries to incorporate Reasoning into an education field that is based on mere learn the points for a test and forget afterwards...keep it up.
