This is a video updating you on what's been going on with me. I should have the giveaway video posted sometime this week. Any ideas on a theme for the giveaway? Any suggestions????

  • If she doesn't latch on, have you tried a shield?

  • yes the shield worked for a little bit then she stopped

  • Oh my gosh!! I am so incredibly sorry for your losses!!

  • @Jsunsetsky87 thank you

  • My sister-in-law had the same problem because my neice had issues latching on. Have you tried giving her a Wubbanub pacifier to build her facial muscles to better latch on? Or even just the Soothie pacifier thats on the end? Thats what the doctors at Vanderbilt told her in the NICU. Oh, and I don't blame your husband for not wanting to show the baby quite yet lol There are some weirdos out there. You can tell he's gonna be a great dad by how protective he is lol

  • @ufcgirl87 yes she uses the soothie pacifier

  • This is completely up to you I'm not judging you or anything just a suggestion. Maybe you can try not mixing breastmilk with formula since it does change the formulation of breastmilk and in the end its like she has not been drinking breastmilk and getting all that good stuff that it offers. It's like a whole other type of "milk" And if you knew that and are ok with it just keep doing what you are doing :)

  • Soo sorry for everything that has happenned to you. My condolences to you and your husband. As for breastfeeding keep at it so your breast can keep producing. If you are still breadtfeeeding because none of your new videos have appeared on my sub box. I can't give you a technique because my baby latched on and knew what to do, with time she will figure it out if you keep at it. If not then breastfeeding may not be for her, but you can still pump & give her those nutrients that are good for her

  • So sorry to hear of your loss . Congrats on a precious baby.

  • I found that if you pump/breast feed right after a warm or hot shower your breast milk flow increases greatly. I just gave birth to my son on friday & also had issues with him latching on, i then gave him a pacifier to help with his sucking reflexes and i found that after he latched on that using warm compresses and hot showers the sooner you latch your baby on your milk comes more and faster to a continued flow.
