@th3warr1or Because he was mortal. Eating from Idun's apples only stopped the Norse gods from aging, but they could still die. Which most of them also did during Ragnarrok.

@BlestTheJediThug Jesus has nothing to do with it. And it's not 'shit'! The Norse Mythology is part of my heritage, so just like some people find it important to learn about Jesus and Job and some learn about Muhammed, I learn about Thor and Odin. Just like that.
