Peter Russell's award-winning video, based on a live audio-visual presentation in 1983. He explores the idea that the Earth is an integrated, self-regulating living organism and asks what function humanity might have for this planetary being. It suggests that we stand on the threshold of a major leap in evolution, as significant as the emergence of life itself, and the essence of this leap is inner spiritual evolution. Moreover, Peter Russell maintains that it is only through such a shift in consciousness that we will be able to manage successfully the global crisis now facing us.

This is the most amazing piece of "work" I've ever seen in my life. I put work in quotes because I'm positive you enjoyed making this.

I had two copies of this film in the eighties, I then, sold everything to travel the globe and "see" it. I made it to China and later Macau for 4 years. Now I have had reason to see it and wonder if it is available on dvd. I am on the Navajo Rez and need to show it again! They have a adage "All my relations" and it is SO!

Sucks his hopes are not true. Mind definitely hasn't taken over the information or industry age... and It's already 2011.

Yup. I was naive in my earlier predictions. But the trend is definitely there and accelerating, even if not as rapid as I envisioned thrity years ago

I can't believe this is from 1983; He was surely thinking ahead, way ahead and I think those figures relating to the new 'Mind' era is still quite small, we could say television, the media and the government are doing a hell of a job fabricating more and more stupid people.

Yes, an inacurate forecast on my part. I was over-hopeful back then (1980s). But still the trend has been maintained

yes, greed, but when most of us realize we're One, greed must dissolve. You can't be greedy on you own expense ;)

yeah i agree :) it can not be stopped =)

well, yes, i guess maybe it's not overtaken yet, but we're at least close :)

i'm not so sure that it will come with a "big bang".. I believe we all experience it a little differently and in different time. Peter here, sort of did it already back in 1983 ;) .. you could put it this way: it's what they call enlightenment :) and "the peak" might be when all or most of us have got that far.
