Rice sociologist Stephen Klineberg presented a group of local journalists with the Houston Area Survey at the annual luncheon of the Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals.
The event was co-sponsored by Multicultural Community Relations in the Office of Public Affairs. Close to 30 people attended the luncheon, including Channel 13 anchor Art Rascon, Channel 11 anchor Vicenter Arenas, Senior Editor of the Houston Chronicle George Haj and Vice President and General Manager of Fox 26 D'Artagnan Bebel.
Klineberg talked about the demographic shifts in Houston and the challenges and opportunities those changes may provide.
