Man, this guy is steeped in the nitty gritty. He seems to have a deep understanding of the back-room machinations of the top decision makers... Still, I think he misses one big point... that the Neocons have acted deliberately not haphazardly at all... The Bushies's policies have allowed their war-profiteer friends to get filthy filthy rich. And this has been their ultimate, sole, all-encompassing goal. Period, case closed, nothing more to say.

VERY worthwhile segment. Informative! but disappointing at the end; you asked him what the progressive activist is supposed to do, and he kept coming back with policy recommendations for the WashDC/NY establishment. Useless for activists. Individuals have no power in the political machine. We can affect the schools, the pulpit and the media. As you are doing, Mike. Thanks.

Great show! Lots of important history. He makes the foreign policy establishment seem not quite so monolithic and impenetrable, and a little more comprehensible.
