I'ld be willing to bet that since this is an advertisement, they makers had to meet standards for animal care and cruelty. And Sheltands are tougher then they look--and if you really watch closesly the people are actually walking along with the horses--so not all their weight is on them. I'm sure some people would comment on the cheesy portrayel of native americans or something else--at the end of the day it's supposed to be a spoof that's funny. Don't take it to seriously.

for one thing they arent even trotting and those people are far too tall for them and they are only lil shetlands not thre proper english ones which are able to carry adults happily.
