Great video! The MP36PH-3C actually saves fuel by partially shutting down the engine when it stops.

Awesome looking train! I wish we had trains this size here in the UK. Seems to accelerate pretty quickly, too. Great video.

@CoasterFan2105 Thought so. I dont know why GO went to that much horsepower.

I'd love to see a movement by Amtrak, Coaster, Metrolink, ACE, and Caltrain to electrify all of California or at least the corridors that use passenger trains
-
I love the P2 on this train.

caltrain is facing bankrupcy, and they could shut down for good, however, Caltrain would benefit with the future High speed rail because it will give caltran an opportunity for electrification, and grade separation, unless the High speed rail comes to California, Caltrain will be gone forever.

I thaught caltrains couldn't do the "toot toot" Highball at Diridon.

when they finish the new Dumbarton rail bridge, you guys can ride this on the new dumbarton bridge.
Reminds me of the Toronto MP40PH-3C's what the difference?

@megs905 Very little. The biggest being that the MP40's have 4,000 HP while these have 3,600.

No, it usually displays the train number, but since the set was out of service, it showed the loco #.
