Instrument is a Kimble F5, which I no longer have. I now play the blonde Kimble A5 in the other videos. You can go to kimblemandolins.com to learn more about them.
As far as time, I've been playing mandolin seriously the last 4 years; however, I first took it up 20 years ago. I've also been playing banjo/guitar the last 25 years, so I'm a quick study. Don't let me deceive anyone here.--Jim

Guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass. At some point in the last 25 years, I've gigged out regularly as one of those. I've been in bluegrass bands, country cover bands, rock bands, country bands, and a number of blues bands (which, other than bluegrass, is my main thing)

Been playing music for 25 years (since early teens). Only been playing mandolin seriously a shy under 4 years (though I first picked it up 20 years ago). ---JR
