  • Anyway does it happen to be the same situation in the country, I mean "the free hitch" .

No way, and that is kind of pity.

  • I loved this kind of US, but can't get that back never again...

  • Otra canción atribuida erróneamente al artista que la hizo popular. El cantante country Roger Miller firma "Me and Bobby McGee", pero fue la versión de Janis Joplin (publicada tras su muerte) la que se convirtió en éxito en todo el planeta.

  • Love it! Apparently, Kristofferson only found out and otherwise heard that Janis recorded his song after she died. They had a short and somewhat wild affair prior to her death and he still says that she holds a special place in his heart.

  • I flew across the world to be with a guy I was madly in love with (In fact I lost my virginity too him ) His name was Bob and he was born and raised in Port Arthur Texas So I spent 6 weeks in that town (he was a capricorn like Janis ..the irony ! ) I loved Bob with my heart and soul & would have married him But like Janis, I couldnt imagine living in that town ( not in the long term I couldnt ) because the mentality was very racist & ignorant so much so it made me literally want to vomit I

  • You guys have no idea how crazy it was back in the 60's..I was discharged from the USAF back in the early part of 1969 when all of this was ripe..so innocent and full of hope we were..kinda like now..but now not a game..it's different now because the boomer generation, most of who went on to build lives and families always imagined that thing would fix everything..we grew up and we are now grey but the heart is still like joplin..forever young..

  • @IxScoreI

LOL, Can't say growing up as a kid in the 40's and being bombed by the German Luftwaffe was a great deal of fun, but our generation sure made up for it oue teens - the fifties. Rock & Roll, the pill [ah yes the pill] mini skirts and for a few - smoking the whacky backy etc. I'm biased of course but I homestly music hasn't been as good as it was in the fifties in any decade since. Thanks for the reply.

  • @dagsy1940 Well spoken. I wish I was born in the 40s or 50s :)

  • poor Janis was voted ugliest man on campus @ UT Austin.
