@MrFRED5906 Mercury is so much more dense than water, that you would not sink in it, you could stand in a pool of mercury and only sink to about your shins

@gta4kings1 Its absorbed through the skin and slowly poisons you - it takes prolonged exposure for it to become toxic and cause death. A brief spillage or touch of it won't make you drop dead the next day. Unless it's dimethyl-mercury, in which case you're doomed.
