President Obama speaks about building a green energy economy and creating new  jobs to employees of Smith Electric, a Kansas City, MO company that is using a grant from the Recovery Act to build all-electric trucks and help create a "Green Impact Zone" in a 150-block area of Kansas City. Blaming Obama for the national deficit would be like blaming fire fighters for spending money to put the fire out VS the arsonist Bush Jr being the arsonist.

Using same principle you have to give Bush Sr. credit for the successful presidency of Clinton.

It was Bush Sr. that called the Reagan economics , voodoo economics, hence, why he was a one term president.

Bush Jr. came back and said okay let’s double up on Reagan economics, got his revenge for dad/ bingo WW Economic disaster .

Green energy economy?

Like in Spain? Or in Germany? In Spain, where the government's bankrupt and now all the green energy companies are going under because nobody's buying their expensive and ineffective crap? Or in Germany where turning your house into "green energy" is so expensive that it'll ruin you?

Hemp, not necessarily plants with high density of intoxicants, has a broad variety of uses including food and textiles. The inappropriate point I was making is that your comment seemed to point to a new version of pitting corn as food against corn as fuel. Hemp is so useful and bountiful that such competitions would likely be irrelevant. iow quit smoking the stuff and use it practically.

@maskedphrogg No more acres would be required as the cycling of pants, especially corn around arable crop mean that half the time plants are not being sown in half the land, so nutrients are not drastically drained from each part of land.

Hemp does not drain soil of nutrients, it actually provides them. So basically, it requires the land you are not losing. That is how it was done before fertilizers btw.

@MYFAMILIA You do realize that the Democrat s have been running congress........since 2006 .....also in 2004 .......Bush pointed out the fact of an economic meltdown ......the Democrats refused to put restrictions on Freddie Mac and Fannie May which busted the housing bubble ....most responsible was Chris Dodd and Barney Frank...Which Obama has put in charge of the new economic reform.... So in another words Democrats played a more major part in the mess than Republicans.....Think about it!
