How To Edit GoPro Hero HD Video On An iPad 2

Here's how to use an iPad 2 to edit MP4 HD video from a GoPro Hero video camera. To do this, you will need the Apple iPad Camera Connector kit and iMovie. You also need to update your iPad operating system to iOS5. I tried doing this before I updated, and iMovie wouldn't allow me to edit the video. Now it works great. You can add voiceovers, titles and sound effects. It's pretty neat. If I were traveling and making videos, I'd bring the iPad instead of a laptop. You can also upload video directly to YouTube from the iPad.

@lomakato No. And you can't slow down or speed up the video either. It's a really basic program, but it is good for putting simple clips together with simple titles and even voice overs and sound effects.

I already have an iPad and have this app, but should I get this camera? When I went skiing I saw lots of people wearing theses on there heads! So anyway, should I get this?

@ThaReaIFake The GoPro is a great camera for action sports and underwater shots, The camera case is durable, and lots of different mounting brackets are available so you can attach it to just about anything. If you're doing drama or comedy and want good audio and the ability to zoom in and out, you would be better off with a traditional video camera. I use both, with the GoPro being used for motorcycle and water shots.
