Canadian Green Party leader Elizabeth May discusses the Liberal carbon tax plan and the NDP's negative reaction to it.
"I'm disappointed Mr. Layton is on the wrong side of this one.... I am afraid that it has something to do with wanting to hurt the Liberals more than wanting to help the climate."

I got to say, Ms. May is a very intelligent women. Although I was skeptical of her leadership of the Green Party when he won over David C. (the former deputy leader), i've since realized that she speaks with honesty and integrity. I may sometimes disagree with her position on the seal hunt or other issues like that, but her presence ensures that any political party that doesn't consider the nature of the environmental crisis suffers politically.

thanks for your support, i feel the same. Ive been trying to get the green vote up since i was able to vote and always been proud of the liberals and i love dion, i also feel this is a new liberal party. Ndp are sell outs out and the conservatives are NEO conservatives.
anyway once again thanks for your support and my green vote is going to dion this year.

I was a New Democrat forever, but have been crushingly disappointed by Layton and the party in the past few years. I was happy when Elizabeth May sought and won the Green leadership and really felt like things were turning around for the environment when Dion won the Liberal leadership. As a country we have a great opportunity here and I hope we don't blow it.
