Canadian Green Party leader Elizabeth May discusses the Liberal carbon tax plan and the NDP's negative reaction to it.

"I'm disappointed Mr. Layton is on the wrong side of this one.... I am afraid that it has something to do with wanting to hurt the Liberals more than wanting to help the climate."

  • God! How I wish the NDP voters would go green and I am a big L liberal! A government shared by the liberals & greens, Folks, it can be made to happen. NDP supportes, so sorry, I was with you for over 30 years, but you SOLD OUT!!

  • I'm with you 100%!

  • thanks for your support, i feel the same. Ive been trying to get the green vote up since i was able to vote and always been proud of the liberals and i love dion, i also feel this is a new liberal party. Ndp are sell outs out and the conservatives are NEO conservatives.

anyway once again thanks for your support and my green vote is going to dion this year.

  • I was a New Democrat forever, but have been crushingly disappointed by Layton and the party in the past few years. I was happy when Elizabeth May sought and won the Green leadership and really felt like things were turning around for the environment when Dion won the Liberal leadership. As a country we have a great opportunity here and I hope we don't blow it.

  • vote green in bc on may 15!

  • I need to know immediately why this woman isn't in the kitchen where she belongs.

    Outrage!

  • I got to say, Ms. May is a very intelligent women. Although I was skeptical of her leadership of the Green Party when he won over David C. (the former deputy leader), i've since realized that she speaks with honesty and integrity. I may sometimes disagree with her position on the seal hunt or other issues like that, but her presence ensures that any political party that doesn't consider the nature of the environmental crisis suffers politically.

  • Vote clean, Vote Green

  • She has to be one of the most educated politicians in Canada.

Cmon Canada, do we really wanna tattoo "Owned by America" on our bums?

    MAY 08!

  • vote green party

  • she did very well in the national debate.

  • Yay May! Got my vote!

  • i think were going to be looking at a green liberal party with new ideas very soon where the only big diffrence between them and the greens will be free market vs global market issuse. its so nice to talk to people about this because i live in a conservative town. its very nice to talk to you and thanks for posting
