Here is the second part of the video. She's doing the same stuff (hissing, growling, curious and cautious) but she finally calms down and rolls around looking really cute. This was the first time I'd seen her hiss and growl before. Taken with a Canon SD990IS. The growling and hissing may be quiet, so turn up the volume if you can't hear it. The first hiss is me, not the cat.

  • hmm get another cat she play with!

My cat starts howling like that when he finds another cat in his territory. :/

  • That's what I thought too, until we got another cat. Kitty would not leave the other cat alone. She kept chasing her, hissing and screeching at her. The other cat would not come out from hididng. So we had to get rid of the other cat. My cat loves people, just not other cats. lol.

  • That's a cool kitty

  • Yup, she's a bundle of fun, she's acutally going crazy running around the apartment at full speed as I'm typing this LOL.

  • It's interesting that neither cats nor dogs recognise themselves in mirrors.

  • You're right. My cat won't hiss or growl anymore, but she is still unsure when she walks by a mirror. She always stares the "other" cat down when she walks by a mirror lol.

  • shes so pretty

  • @ericandamanda338 same with my cat, she does like the kitty in the mirror but she doesn't attack and hiss at it anymore.

  • i love your kitty, she is beautiful and the video is funny. mine does weird stuff as well - cats can definitely keep you entertained.

  • @ericandamanda338 you know, last year I got a male cat, Dexter, just 1 month later I got another one, a female, Nina. Dexter was all friendly to her, but she always was backing up and getting angry at him; hissing and screeching, some times hitting him with her pawns. I really thought I would have to give Nina away. Just after a couple of days living together they began to chase one another, screaming a bit but more relaxed. Now they are just great together. Look for my "Nina y Dexter" video :)

  • your cat has discovered the mirror : Min 1:18

  • my did that once, he kept clawing at the mirror.

  • i LOVE your cat!

  • oh yeah my cat was the same at first as well... but they learnt to respect eachother eventualy.

although... my cat was raised by my dog. so he's more like a dog than a cat :/
