I'm gonna play through Holy Diver, a fun but hard Famicom game. I will NOT use save states, so this way, if you ever need help in the game, maybe my videos can help

Stage 4 is the first level where the difficulty can be a problem. Strangely, once you memorize this stage perfectly, it's not as hard as it may seem at first.

You must destroy the "gargoyles" as quick as possible with the Breaker. So, memorizing and remembering where they are is vital. Don't just rush into enemies because they will not let you pass without pursuing you.

The golems are a pain, but it's possible to avoid them. Check the video for more details.

Also, the boss for this stage is one of the cheapest boss I ever saw. I really really hate him! You must stand on a tiny platform and avoid the bullets he throws at you. The problem is, sometime, you CAN'T see the bullets because of the flickering. And just a tiny mistake will push you to your death... I fuc*king hate him!

Well, anyway, on to stage 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wJXEEIXR8Y

  • omg thank you for posting this... I have the original cart and couldn't figure out what to do after the spaceman. I even went to a nes enthusiasts site and no one knew about this game. but I guess you get a box that turns you into a gragon

  • Sorry, 3 months later... I guess you were trying to avoid the golem (spaceman as you call it).

  • Your rom or the emulator ur using may contribute to the graphic problems and flickering th@ ur having. I play it on my PSP and it doesn't do th@. Never tried the rom on a computer.

  • oMG yo nunca pude pasar este satge :´( siempre me mataba el jefe final de esta parte... que recuerdos!! tenia como 8 años de edad cuando jugué este bueno pero dificil juego de mi amado NES.... Good Job dude !!! ;-]

  • It's based off of Dio's song of the same title, which, IMHO, makes it even better.

"Beneath the velvet lies, there's a truth that's hard as steel, yeah."

  • interesting game...I didnt know it...thanks for doing it
