@Boromir33 It is good to confess pilgrim. hehe

@lvsiii A beautiful compliment for a beautiful performance - I feel almost like a vandal pointing out that the famous high C is most probably an improvised adornment which stuck, & that it was much more elaborately performed by the Sistine's virtuousi in its early days - I'm trying to locate the scholarly reconstruction now!

The Redemption of Man is Universal, not just for elite or just for the pious. That is why it is called the Catholic Church, and not the "Exclusive Church" It is for all, even if you consider yourself at odds with or just different from it. If your heart has been touched by this music, then it is evident that the Spirit of God has a way to connect to us, no matter how much we doubt this.

none taken, religous or not if one finds this music appealing it can't be helped and there's nothing wrong with that no matter your creed

@snukkums No offense, but I think it's nearly criminal to have music such as this or certain symphonies in baseless Hollywood movies like Face/Off. Still though I'm glad you found this, and hope you like it. I'm an atheist, but even I can attest that there's something almost magisterial and sacred about pieces such as this. Not everything, especially sacred forms of our culture should be commercialized for incessant profit.

i looked this up because of it's use in Face/Off ....very dramatic........

A very good but not excellent interpretation of the famous Allegri- piece.
The benchmark here is the 'Tallis Scolars' organized by Sir Peter Phillips and
their wonderful Sophrano Jane Armstrong with her crystal clear voice in the mid 90's.
Everything about your sophrano voice will be revealed singing these high C's.
I especially dislike the tendencies of using vibrato on the high tunes which in my opinion break with the idea of polyphonic renaissance church music
Pagan or believer. It matters not. This is the splendor of the greatest musical instrument of all. Pure and unadorned as it should be. Beautiful.
