  • Yeah....he doesn't want to invest in businesses that are all too happy to give him a return on his investment, and wants to strip corporations of their (the owners anyway) God-given right to do business in any place they see fit. Does he realize he's advocating Communism while decrying it at the same time?

  • @vedinthorn Please listen more carefully. If the government created a new wide-scale plan forcing us to invest our Social Security money in the stock market (a la President Bush's idea), that would be much more akin to Communism. No one here is saying that corporations shouldn't have the freedom to do business where they choose, but at the same time, I have right to choose in what I invest. You missed the point completely!

  • The question isn't about Social Security, nor Medicare. Nope! It's about how 'The People's Money' is being spent. Let's look at how much of OUR MONEY is being pissed-away:

During Bush's first 6 years (2001-2007) the national debt went from 5.7 Trillion Dollars to 8.7 Trillion Dollars or 3 Trillion Dollar Increase.

During the the Democrat Led Congress 4 years (2007-2010) the National Debt went from 8.7 Trillion Dollars 14.Trillion Dollars or 5.3 Trillion Dollar Increase.

  • @Unklebillybob Agreed that out of control government spending is a systemic problem, not specific to one party or the other.

  • dude, where is the answer part to your questions?

  • @elatedGuru Unfortunately, there wasn't much of an answer. I wish President Obama would have had an open mind about my ideas.. I'm not saying my plan was perfect, but with some additional efforts it would have been a good starting point to help alleviate our current issues with the national debt, etc.

  • Obama said this is Adam's plan, but his voice said, "aww isn't this so adorable big dumb nightschooler thinks he knows more than all of my personal advisers on the issue of social security, let me just put this piece of crap here and never read it again and hope that I don't have to listen to anymore retardedness tonight."

  • Go Adam! Wow, nicely done. I hope you're doing well these days.

  • @PactAmerica : It is a great example of how a what seemed to be a good liberal/progressive idea resulted in unintended consequences (or were they intended?) when they passed the Social Security Insurance act. Why should government be taking my money I've earned in the first place? Taxes yeah, but under the guise of social security, give me a break!

  • @PactAmerica President Bush endorses to because he is a big government crony just like the rest of them. The establishment is a bunch of commie pricks.

  • its funny cause obama shit on his plan and borrowed billions from china!

  • @PactAmerica Given that you would be more free to choose in what you would invest, I fail to see how that's less communistic than having the NO choice at all what you're in now. Wouldn't it be better to just slowly phase out Social Security towards the private sector until the government just doesn't even tax you at all? As for the corporations thing: I was referring to him talking ill of shipping jobs overseas, which is a direct result of over-taxation of business.

  • @al5mnd9trnksdr745bi Our borrowing does not seem not to be for the purpose of investment in a more productive future, which would yield a positive expected rate of return, but rather to finance an unstainable living for the moment mentaility, with no plan for repayment.

  • @PactAmerica Yep, Agreed. But this last round of democrats have managed to spend over 5.3 Trillion Dollars in just 4 years. Here is a very good idea ,,, Give me the federal budget, with the authority to cut it, and I will give back a balanced Budget.
