@mikegeor After 2 years, I'd HOPE you figured it out, but.... I would assume it's because there is a difference in procedures between a rolling code, and a fixed code. Most (all?) newer openers will be rolling code.

what if you lost all of your old garage door openers? I had it in my old car for homelink and never needed the opener that came with the garage door, so I can't find it to program my new car which has homelink. What should I do?

Thank you! My homelink is finally working as it should. Why can't the instruction from the cars' owner manual be this simple instead of making it so complicated.
