Whew! This is a vid for my bestie Sammy -Please get a YouTube account!-, who requested a Aerith/Cloud/Tifa LT video to Avril's "Slipped Away". It took a while, but at last it is finished! There a story, and I hope that it's at least somewhat understandable... ;;... Enjoy watching!

*The Anuhea Story*

PROLOGUE

After the near-end of the world, Cloud has vanished into the shadows. He left behind Tifa, who watches him ride away without a word, in the hopes that if she let him go, he'd come back to her.

Yet, she called him every week, hoping that he would answer his phone and let her know that he was still alive. But, with every unanswered call, her acceptance of his distance faded, replaced by bitter resignation.

Tifa gave up on him.

Weeks later, she decided to visit the church that he so desperately clung to, for reasons she doesn't know. But, outside, she was attacked by the monsters that roamed the ruins of Midgar. Tifa defeated them with relative ease, but not without wounds. She stumbled into the church, and fell asleep amongst the flowers, victim to the fiends late spell of slumber.

That day, Cloud came home.

And, our story begins...

"It's been two years. Not one call. Not one word. He just... slipped away."

Walking down the dusty and forlorn aisle, Cloud stopped to admire the flowers that still grew without a gentle hand to tend to them, before his eyes caught sight of a familiar form, sleeping peacefully on the flower bed, battered and bruised.

He rushed forward, giving no heed to the telling pain in his arm that told him his time was running out. Cloud cradled Tifa in his arms, calling her name in an attempt to wake her. And, in the middle of his call, the Geostigma attacked.

Mercilessly. He fell into the flowers with Tifa, struggling against the pain until he succumbed to the relief of a painless sleep.

THE VIDEO

Cloud dreams of Aerith, of walking into her church and finding her there, tending to the flowers that still needed her. She sees him, walks to him... and he wakes to find that he's back at the 7th Heaven, in Edge. And, that Tifa lies next to her, caught in her slumber.

He stands over her, wondering how he got there, when he feels a presence behind him. He turns to find Aerith, standing there and holding him comfortingly. He stands there speechless, before everything fades back into reality.

Walking to the window, Cloud sightlessly stares out. The Geostigma has always made him hallucinate.

Meanwhile, Tifa dreams of Cloud. she dreams of walking into the church and finding him, Cloud, who smiled, and talked, yet her memories are tinged with the sadness of his departure, the moments that changed both their lives so dramatically, and her own imaginings of the calls that he never answered.

She awakens. And, seeing Cloud at her window fills her with sadness; there isn't a smile on his face, he isn't speaking. This is the man that left her.

Why are you here?

He appears to get lost in his thoughts, Before he turns. "I don't know."

He crosses the room, and walks to the door. "I'm sorry. I'll go."

Tifa doesn't think of stopping him; not even once. But, the next day, she returns to the church with Marlene in tow. Hoping to find him, and talk while her mind is clear.

His sword stands above the flower bed, embedded deeply within the soil. But, he isn't there. She knows what has happened, and stands there, watching Marlene look for him.

"This time. He's not coming back. I know it."

Outside of Midgar, Cloud suffers through his final Geostigma attack. Until at last, the pain stops.
