The ten-room, two story building is built in classic Sonoran Colonial style with modern American style electrical and plumbing systems and both heating and air conditioning. The hotel opened for guests in September 2009. Each guest room is individually
decorated featuring bathroom vanities built of mesquite wood by local artisans and furniture that incorporates original artifacts from the "Casa Viejo," (the old house.) The spacious private interior courtyard houses intimate gardens, water features and seating areas. A second story terrace provides views of the town, the surrounding mountains and, stargazing.

The entire project was built using local artisans and craftsmen using materials acquired locally as much as possible. Our goal was to create an intimate, romantic setting and remain faithful to the architecture and be in harmony with the environment of the Rio Sonora.
