Charles Messier's "anti-list' of objects in space has become iconic in the world of astronomy. We'll making videos about each object - but first here's an introduction to the catalogue itself.

  • Great job!! Looking forward to watching videos on all the Messier objects. Getting started in Astronomy as a hobby and these already are a fantastic intro. thank you!

  • @Scarecrowman27 i know, space totally trips me out, if you ever want to make yourself nuts read *death from the skys by, phil plaite* (not sure if thats spelled right and i think he has Dr. as a title not sure, but the books all about the millions of things that could hit our planet, its just crazy to think how small we really are, kinda makes you humble a bit looking out at the stars :)

  • theys people are nerds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Got here from Rainbow Trololol

  • @BlueAlphaGamer How did i get from the Marines to this? O_O

  • Awsome.I subcribed.I love astromany.I like sudying the stars.I wish I could see one from a spaceship.Don`t you?

  • THis isn't Annoying Orange.

  • How did i got from DBZ to this?

  • This is an excellent idea. Very well taped and interesting to watch. Well done and looking forward to the full set of 110 Messier objects! Aloha!

  • @Scarecrowman27 I know exactly what you mean. This woman I work with thought Jupiter was the biggest object in the Galaxy (bigger than sun and other exrta-solar objects) and then couldn't understand how it ends up on opposite side of Earth so you can't see it all the time.

It was just total ignorance which made me very sad. The sky calls to us, and as long as we don't destroy ourselves, we will venture to the stars.
