Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to transfer files between Mac and Windows, but you could only transfer files from Windows to Mac? Zach Bornheimer, President of ZPU Systems™, demonstrates the reformatting process to successfully allow your external hard drive or flash drive to work on both Windows and Mac without losing data. • thanks a lot!!!

  • I have a click free external hard rive and i want to transfer my files from my old pc to my mac how do i do this?

  • @Jespercoorell91 It is possible, but difficult. The easiest way to do this is to use MacDrive. I use it myself when on Windows. Mac Drive will allow you to see your Mac files on Windows and then you can use any method of transfer you want (because it acts as just another drive). If you need any more help let me know.

  • Hi man grat vid. :)

    I have a question.

I have like 57 gb files on my mac that I want to transfer to my new PC.

IT'S impossible? Can you tell me how to do it? Have tried for like a month now:(

  • @harvestcreativemedia What you are trying to do is create a VPN or Virtual Private Network. I personally have never done it, but it is possible, but sometimes a little complex. I recommend researching how to set up a VPN. -Zach

  • @TheSeemingly Hey. Thanks for the comment. What you are trying to do is actually pretty complex. Windows natively does not support the Mac file structure, so without software like MacDrive, you have not chance at it working that way. There is free software for Mac that allows you to write to Windows drives. Look into software like MacFuse. That should allow you to access and write to that drive using iTunes (once you configure it to look on that drive for the data).

  • Hi Zach, thanks for the video man...I have iTunes on an external hard drive (saved via PC)... I want to use the external hard drive and iTune files on a new Mac. Is there anyway to re-format the hard drive for Mac and still use the PC saved Itunes files on the Mac?
