I thought he was ill and it did show a little. I liked his acting, Scott brought a new dialogue to the series full sentences to the role of Tarzan.

The company that made both Jock Mahoney Tarzan films, the three Mike Henry Tarzan films, and the Ron Ely Tarzan TV series was Sy Weintraub's Banner Productions. According to Wikipedia, the company was bought by Kinney National Company in 1967 (their big hit was the "Woodstock" film) and the following year took over Warner Bros. If this stuff is in the Warner vaults then they might release it commercially on DVD one day. Warners released all twelve Weissmuller Tarzan films on DVD recently.

Anyone know of any plans to bring this film to DVD? Woody is your mom's cousin? I'd have loved to have met the guy. He was a great role model, and one of my favorite actors.

Thank you! Yep same one.I knew he died already, too sad. My mom's aunt didn't want to accept a black relative in the family, she is racist to it.I can tell you more in a pm.
WinxHoney:
The same Woody Strode that was also in "Tarzan's Fight For Life" with Gordon Scott, and was one of the Colonel's henchmen in two episodes of the Ron Ely "Tarzan" TV series which was turned into a theatrical feature called "Tarzan's Deadly Silence"(1970),and he was also in another episode that was also turned into a movie based on the Tarzan series "Tarzan's Jungle Rebellion"(1967).

I'm afraid you are wrong about Woody Strode being in "Tarzan's Jungle Rebellion". Check the full cast and crew list on IMDb.

Danger, Will Robinson! That's Dick Tufeld narrating, aka The Robot.
Jock was my favorite Tarzan. He looked like someone who might have actually grown up in the jungle.

Well, it was the second of only two Tarzan films in which he played Tarzan.
In total he appeared in four Tarzan films. He had previously played Coy Banton in "Tarzan the Magnificent" (1960), which led to him being cast as Tarzan in "Tarzan Goes to India" (1962).
He later appeared as The Colonel in two episodes of the Ron Ely "Tarzan" TV series which were turned into a feature film called "Tarzan's Deadly Silence" (1970). You can see him in the trailer of that which is on Youtube.
