Bob Yen Jr testing his scratch built lighting system, lighted tail blades and MS Composite Tag Blades. Bob is the Project Manager of the "Heli-Girlz" RC Heli team. The Heli is a Trex 600 E with torque tube. These night blades can spell words and show graphics. This test is in front of CME Hobby shop in South Plymouth MA. For more info check out heli-girlz.com

  • Dude, when this video was shot, it was for video the testing of the light system. I wanted to make sure that the lighting system would not interfere with the Tx & Rx systems. As you will notice that there is a custom built lighting system on the bottom of the heli. Inside this the lighting control box are many circuits. I did not know if it would cause glitches. Check out my other videos under Bob Yen Jr. I fly extremely hard, but always with safety in mind. --Bob

  • a bright red LED is located on the top side of the boom, and there is a photo electric eye on the underside of the blades. when the blade spins, the eye crosses over the sensor on the boom. A CPU, associated lighting diodes and lithium polymer batteries are inside the blades.
